IT GOES DOWN EASY, BUT WITH 3X THE DRY HOPPING, THIS PALE ALE HAS A DARK SIDE. SHE STARTS INNOCENT AND SMELLS GREAT, BUT THIS GAL HAS FILTHY GOOD TASTE. YOU JUST GOT SLAPPED …

And liked it.

Pale-Ale-BG-Info

INDIA PALE ALE

  • Bow Wow Yippie Yo IPA - 6.9% abv 70 IBU

We decided our IPA should be a good old-school dog, not a new dog needing to be taught old tricks. Chinook is the state dog of NH, and this classic American IPA is all about the Chinook. Off-dry, never harsh, but it will bite. Meow less, bark more. Bowwow Yippie Yo IPA, Lithermans in the mother-brewin house.

Bert's Better Beers' Draft Pick(s) of the Week:

Battle Axe IPA is a unique example of the style, focused on smooth hop flavors and aroma, while avoiding the harsh bitterness found so often in today’s IPAs. Rather than competing for the most bitter beer available, we chose to leverage voluminous late hop additions in the boil to produce a highly drinkable IPA with strong hop flavors, fresh citrus hop aroma and a profound drinkability that makes it a great food beer.

Bert's Better Beers' Draft Pick(s) of the Week:

Granite Stout

THE BEER:

Granite Stout is our American stout with strong coffee and chocolate notes balanced by a clean bitterness.  Take your time with this medium bodied 8% abv stout. An understated hopping and chocolate like sweetness present firstly, and as the beer warms, coffee, vanilla and cocoa notes bloom. IBU: 34

THE STORY:

Granite Stout is truly the people’s choice. In January of 2014, the brewery conducted the “Stout Challenge”, where for a month all visitors into the brewery sampled a selection of small batch stouts brewed in house.  The winning recipes continued on and faced each other in the final round. After hundreds of votes were tallied the winning recipe became Granite Stout which is now available in 22 oz. bottles and on draft throughout New Hampshire.

THE 603:

New Hampshire is known for its large granite formations located throughout the state, the most famous being the “Old Man on the Mountain”
